Sold for £899. What a bargain! I had 44 watchers - Only 1 person put a bid in. I guess most were just lurkers/watchers and probably just interested to see if the car would sell. Buyer was surprised that they won - and would have paid alot more for it.

Ld02 toj
....and the car is still alive!
It's Ian here. I'm the bloke who bought LD02 TOJ. I travelled down from Newcastle on the train remember? I ran the car briefly last summer without any problems (only adding 1000 miles!) and had it SORN over the winter. It is a great car and a credit to your many years of devoted ownership. I will be keeping the car for long term summer use only whilst running my old diesel S60 in the winter. I'll MOT it in June. I've noticed some of the comments which had a bit of a go at all the mods that you completed over the years. A bit harsh I think! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think you did a great job. Its a unique car and several people up here have approached me to talk about it. (Including one of our local Police who also owns a Volvo!) Kind regards Ian |

Hi Yoshka123 - Ian,
Thanks for the update - glad its still running and with an owner that will cherish and look after it. - I noticed it was SORN when I checked a few months ago. If I could buy it back off you I wouldn't hesitate in beat. but due to ULEZ and no where to keep it it wouldn't really work for me. I've had a few cars so far - XC90, V60, XC60, and now a electric XC40 - but the S60 was my most memorable car I ever had - and the mods made it so much better. If you ever come down to London - give me a buzz - it be nice to see you and the car again. Glad it passed the MOT. Keep me and the forums updated. Some photos would be good at some point.
