looks more like a 940 ac intercooler bodged in, it is a real hate of mine when the right parts are easy to get hold of

The hoses should be at the top like this

"Should be" or "could be"?

For £300 they could be yes I guess.

For free it could be the stock 940 intercooler and pipework? I'm working with what I've got for now.

I guess my question is, what's the difference?

You may recall that warming up cooking motorcars isn't my cup of tea, but that doesn't detract from what you have done with your 240 - it is really interesting, so very well done indeed.

The project is very clearly making you happy - an absolutely marvellous thing and the main reason we do projects.

Great thread and will drive much better with the turbo now. Fair play to you. Do whatever works for you as long as the car is happy and you are dude. Roll on the whoosh noises.

Stock - it's purely a 940 swap on a shoestring budget

240 gearbox etc

You dont need to spend on a fancy alloy intercooler just use the one that fits from a non AC 940 as its the same one for 240/740 and 940 without AC

The horns are nice horns and they have a good sound to go with it
