Nivomat rear shocs boots P3
Does anyone know if new boots can be sourced for the nivomat shocks? FRF don't do them so I'm guessing that's it but just curious if anyone has found a solution. Both my shocks are working fine but the boots have massive holes in them. Driving to Spain in a couple of weeks so don't want them packing in suddenly. TIA.

There are replacement non-specific dust cover/bellow(s) available - I needed some a while ago for my V40, and ended up buying some Sachs ones to match the new shocks I bought (Sachs make shocks for Volvo). I seem to remember they are available though AutoDoc, who list the parts numbers for a further, wider search. Ridex do a fair number of dust cover kits. You'll need your model year and version to get an accurate answer...
A bit more research - Sachs make Nivomats and they do a range of replacement bellows - Kit 9 is one I saw mentioned as fitting some older V70s. Everyone says that keeping the bellows intact is key to keeping the shock units from wearing out... If you do a Google search : "Sachs Nivomat bellows kit", then you'll get quite a lot of hits on replacements.

Thanks simboc for the info, have ordered some new ones but might recondition the old ones with new bellows and offer them for sale on here in case anyone needs some in the future.
