V40 T3 R design

8 weeks ago purchased 2018 V40 T3v r design 21000 miles cat S. On day of purchase received MOT with no advisories pass 1 hour before my arrival at sales facility. 300m drive home perfect.
Problem I tried to flash a bus forward no movement so indicated left bus then moved. Checked head lights cannot flash, At night a few cars flashing me ??.I now notice i cannot switch lights on or off Running lights and headlights, maybe main beam, start with switching car on and only off when car shut down.

Hopefully I am doing something wrong that can be corrected in management system, My most modern cars have been Rover 75s so big tech jump for me.
Advice please

Am bit worried as car had front and offside damage. I have just noted that the nearside head light rear fixing pin is missing. this means headlight can be tilted slightly by finger pressure and suspect vibration. which to me is at least an advisory???
