Good Devon Independent Volvo garages?
Hi,
New to Volvo owning, and need to service the beast, anyone in or near Devon that knows of any good Volvo specialists? So far I know of Formula Cars (ok its in Taunton, but thats near enough), and Seymour Horwell (in Kingsteignton). I'm looking for a full service and cambelt change on an S80, best price I have so far is £425 from Formula Cars. I'm sure there must be some forum members around here who know! Cheers |

MTM (Brixham) are good, but we left them because their prices crept up, and up, and up. Seymour Horwell are also good, but can also be pricey.
We use Lee Potter who owns PE Services, who are just round the corner from Seymour Horwell in Greenhill Road, Newton Abbot. Pass Seymour Horwell on your left, and about 75 yds past them, go down the little road just before the Honda Main Dealers They are 4 wheel drive specialists, but Lee is a good mechanic and will service virtually any make of car. We have used him for over 10 years now, and originally used him when my wife had an Toyota MR2 on which Lee used to work. If you are looking for a good job, well done, then he's your man. I'd recommend Lee 100%, and you may quote me. Tell him Keith & Teresa recommended him if you decide to use him. His Phone Number is: 01626 332438

There's also Maxwells at Mortenhampstead, I've look at buying cars from them in the past and they have all ways seemed amicable.

I have mine done at Formula Cars and always get a good job done, they use genuine Volvo parts as well but at a discount price. Just had a few weeks ago MOT, Cam-belt and Aux Belt inc. tensioner done and a courtesy car ! Very good service.

Keith @ KJ Engineering, St Mary's Road Brixham 01803 858220, family have used him for years, won't go anywhere else even tho it's an hours drive from me, does my MOT each year, well helps that my mum lives 3 doors up so can leave the car and see her. Will work on anything. If you use him tell him Jason from Kingsbridge green 850 sent you lol.....
