airbag light on
Hi all I have a v40 t5 on a 2004 plate. Airbag light on. Diagnostics show passenger side rear seat belt at fault. I have changed both n/s/r and O/s/r seatbelts mechanisms and latches. Battery has been disconnected for over 2 weeks, installed all units before Battery reconnected. yet light still persists. Do I still need to get it plugged in to reset. if not can I purchase resistors to fool ECU. (what resistance would be required?)

Yes, it needs diagnostics to reset the light.

airbag light
yes and dealers charge for that and the only code reader I saw that would do it was 90 quid plus..
A cunning wheeze is to buy a recycled airbag ECU. Chances are it will be Ok with no codes on it (although you cannot be certain)...disconnected the battery beforehand, install it, good to go. I picked one up for 15 quid a couple of years ago... |
