i quite often get a call telling me i've had an accident in the past 5 years and i am entitled to compensation
when i ask how they found out about this so called accident they are always vague and evasive, (mostly because ive never been in an accident, ever) then i ask where they got my information from and they're just as evasive. while i dont hate these people simply because of their job, it's very apparent the type of person in this line of work cares far more about money than any person's welfare, and it does get me mad when they call me up |

A colleague at work often gets calls telling him he has been in an accident. This is despite the fact that he doesn't have a drivers licence or own a car!

As it was my car she gave my mobile number and then the fun began. I started with the truth and now I use a mixture of 'I've had the £2 million pay out thanks' to silence and wait for them to hang up. If I don't recognise the number and do not answer, they never leave a message so I just block the number. It's gone from a couple of calls per day to approximately 1 call per week now |

Ugh, I’ve had my fair share of annoying cold calls from these so-called injury lawyers. They seem to be everywhere, trying to make a quick buck. Your friend’s situation is just awful. It’s such a shame that doing the right thing can sometimes backfire like this.
A few years back, I had a minor fender bender and didn’t think to take any photos. Big mistake. I ended up in a similar situation, and it was a nightmare trying to prove there was no damage. Since then, I’ve made it a habit to take pictures and invest in a dash cam. |

By the way, I once worked with a great law firm, https://www.bruninglegal.com/ , and they were really helpful and professional. It’s good to know there are still some decent folks out there in this field. |
