S40: Trunk won't close if boot light is attached
Hi
I have an 2008 Volvo S40. I noticed that when the boot light is connected to the fuse, the trunk simply won't close. I have tested and inspected the fusebox and the fuse is working fine (the boot light is on) so the circuit is fine. The only issue is when I plug the boot light in the connector, the trunk doesn't close. Not a major issue but it means that there is no boot light in order to close the trunk Anyone had this issue before and managed to fix this? It seems that the boot light is taking too much power and prevents the trunk locking mechanism from working? Any ideas would be appreciated |
