Default Messages not displaying on dash screen - help

Hi - popped the S60 in for a service recently. A couple of weeks after I got it back I noticed that it wasn't shouting at me via the message screen to fill up the wiper tank as it usually does.
Seems as though messages have been turned off by the garage (probably to cancel the service message).

Does anyone know how to reactivate the messages?

Thanks

Steve

The sensor for the washer bottle can fail, as it did in my wife's V60.

Thanks Sotosound.

I wondered if it had something to do with a garage reset, to remove the message about requiring a service, as it seems coincidental that it stopped working at the same time that they had the vehicle in.

The 'Messages' section of the display is greyed out, looking like it's been disabled.

Do you get the daily 'belts and doors' message when you first get in and start?

Thanks RDesign4Life

Yes, I get the 'belts and doors' message fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks
