Default Stripped caliper carrier thread - help needed.

I was changing my pads and discs tonight on my XC 90, 2016 and as I was just finishing screwing in my last slider bolt, I have stripped the thread on the carrier. I see that you can fix it using helicoils, does anyone know what the thread size would be, I’ve had a Quick Look and think it might be M9 x 1.25, would appreciate if someone could verify that size. Many thanks.

Might be easier and safer long term to get a 2nd hand one from a breaker.

Plus one.
I would consign this calliper to the bin.

Thanks, £140 from a breakers yard, they don’t sell the carrier on its own. Comes with caliper.
Thanks

There are various ones on ebay but it would obviously have to be the correct one for your car. My concern, and I suspect that of those who replied similarly, is why the thread stripped. I would have expected the hex headed tool to have snapped before the thread stripped. Unless they're different on your model all the carriers I have encountered are cast iron and wouldn't expect thread failure unless the casting is cracked or the metal is flawed. Failure of a repaired brake caliper carrier under heavy braking could be catastrophic for you and anyone around you.
