Default XC60 T6 Recharge.... Just blowing Cold Air

Evening Folks,
Just the other day my 1 year old (2022 72 plate) XC60 T6 Recharge heater stopped blowing hot air. It still functions but only blasts out cold air. I have tried it on Hybrid and Pure settings and just the same.

Looking for ideas as to what the fix may be.
With the weather in Scotland the windows are misting up due to no heat.

Regards,
Mark

Does the heater work when the engine is running?

If yes, and it only blows cold air when running on electric, then it’s probably the high voltage coolant heater that stopped working. Mine had a new one fitted a couple months ago, and there’s another thread somewhere about it. Fairly common issue. As your car is still under manufacturer’s warranty, call your chosen Volvo garage and tell them the High Voltage Coolant Heater is not working. They’ll book you in and replace the part for free. I only had to wait two weeks for it to arrive so hopefully won’t be too bad for you either.

If it doesn’t work at all, then no idea. Either way, a trip to the dealership will be inevitable I think but it’ll all be under warranty I’m sure 🤞🏼

Yup seems that those high voltage heaters around that age are dodgy, mine went too,

some things to try in here in case you turned it off accidentally

But unfortunately you'll have to use the petrol motor until you get the unit replaced, once the engine has heated the coolant it stays hot for quite a while so you can go back in EV mode.
