960 Estate
I'm back in "the fold"
I just got me a 960 Estate, its in great overall condition, 99k miles with a very extensive service history and the lst 19 MOT certs, all 4 bumper corners appear to have been used as parking sensors so both bumpers will be getting resprayed, also, the leather on top of the door cards appear to have pinched / crinkled ! how does this happen ? is it easy enough to repair ? I will also have the wheels refurbed. 20231203_101613 by Ian Forbes, on Flickr 20231203_101632 by Ian Forbes, on Flickr |

Welcome back, I'd make sure the service is up to date before spending on paint especially the cambelt as if it goes on a whiteblock it's not a cheap easy fix like a redblock.
The door cards are caused by the glue failing, I've not done any repairs myself so can't advise on that one sorry, looking forward to updates. |

That looks a nice car in a nice colour. Well done!
The door cards are notoriously hard to repair. You will probably find the material has stretched making it very hard to get it taut and looking good. Some folk have reported a degree of success injecting glue and using gentle heat. In the past people have produced solutions to cover up the damage. For example, now discontinued: https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...ScqxZ73Pr9ANdF The best/easiest solution is to find a breaker with good door cards and swap them. Volvo changed the glue on later cars and they are less likely to fail. |

Cam belt and water pump should be the first item on the to do list if the history is not know
Door cards are a common issue with the glue letting go. Best option is a stick on pad over the top |

That's a nice looking barge! Wheels don't look too bad?
Who'll you use for the paintwork?
