2018 XC60 Indicator Malfunction Message
Had this car about 8 months. Shortly after getting it I got indicator malfunction warnings a couple of times. Then no issues until the last couple of days when they happened again twice.
Doesn’t seem to be linked to actually using the indicator. And indicators certainly work Ok. Possibly follows using full lock when manoeuvring, but not totally convinced. Once was certainly in a multi storey car park with very tight turns, Error message seems to keep repeating for 5-10 minutes or so and then stops. Message can be for either side but more commonly the left hand side. Have seen several threads in here but no one seems to have a firm cause or fix for it. |

A above, previously had similar warning messages on My2017 V90, at the time - steering wheel modules replaced under warranty. Dealer will no doubt try to fob you off with 'software update'.

As previously posted elsewhere on this forum I'd recommend having the lights control module removed, visually inspected and then re-seated/re-connected. If you're taking the car to a dealer or workshop for checking then this shouldn't be a big job.
For sure don't be fobbed off with "software upated"!!

Thanks. Is booked in for a service in a couple of weeks. So have put this on the list. Happened again today. Triggered while turning right but not indicating. Cleared after a couple of minutes.
