Before its mapped, consider how its running, ensure you have done a back to Basics Stage - 0 before going near a map.

What supporting mods if any are you running?

Id avoid Shem like the Plague, Tim Williams is a far better shout in Coaliville, id certainly not have a generic off the shelf mail order map send over.

As mentioned,

What supporting mods have you on the car?

Make sure you've covered all of the basic services on the car.

As for mapping I would look at Adam at AMP services as he has partnered up with Vast tunning.

Aaron at vast ( the owner ) is hands down alot better than shem and the infamous Tim Williams.

you could go for a rica map for ultimate tyre killing performance. ps you might need to get a fuel tanker as well.

The infamous Tim Williams, based in Coalville has just about the best reputation in this country in his field.

Don.

This is 100% spot on. He is night and day different to any other specialist that has done work in any of our Volvos!

If you want expert knowledge I'd say Tim Williams has the best reputation - I've never used his services myself but his reputation (across many forums) is second to none. The only issue (I've heard) is that getting hold of him in the first place can be tricky.

A good alternative is VAST in the US - again, Aaron has a superb reputation.

I chose the more risky option of buying a used RICA chipped ECU for my 850R (albeit from a trusted VOC member). Mine is the calmer RICA '280' version which is supposed to be auto-gearbox friendly. The '310' (?) is the fierce tyre shredder one

I'd second the caveat mentioned many times ^^^^. Make sure you've done a full Stage 0 service first, as the increased boost will add extra pressure, strain, heat, etc to your car and anything borderline will fail sooner rather than later.

Tim can be tough to get hold of sometimes admittedly for sure, guys just immensely busy, doesn’t suffer fools gladly either.

Think he gets a touch frustrated with some customers who want 350bhp from just a map, he explains to them what’s required to get it that figure and then they say there is no room in the budget for an oil and filter!!
