Default Air Quality - How?

My AAOS V90 has external air quality readout - tree pollen, grass pollen, NO2 , Pm 2.5, etc etc. Where does this info come from? is it clever sensors (unlikely) or pulling in data from somewhere over t'internet? if so where?

Everything suggests it is a sensor as it is quite dynamic I couldn't see how it would be anything else.

Yes, agree it is quite dynamic, but what sort of clever sensor can read out different sorts of tree and grass pollen? It shows various trees including olive (!) which apparently at the moment up here in sunny Lancashire is at a "very low" level - but not zero(!!)

EDIT - A look online shows that it is a sensor but I am still very intrigued to know how it identifies different types of pollen!

If I remember correctly for the pollen the system asked me to allow it to use the location.
I think that for air quality it is a sensor and for the pollen it uses internet data.

Thanks for that link - so it seems it is a combination of on-board sensor for internal quality plus data over internet for external. I see from the link that Breezometer is now part of google, so that makes sense to see it incorporated in AAOS cars.

In fact, if you go on Breezometer website and look at their air quality map, the data is the same as in the car. https://www.breezometer.com/air-qual...ingdom/preston

QED. Thanks.
