S40 V40 Cars: - Engine stalls while driving

Hi, Volvo owners. i hope you can help me.
A good friend gave me recently a volvo v40 2.0 (gasoline) from 1997 in very good shape but with an unsoved problem: the engine randomly stalls while driving with no previous signal (no power or rev loss, no strange noises...) After a while, the motor starts again. We have changed relays, lambda sensor etc. etc. but the problem is still there. I would appreciate any help to solve this problem and start enjoying my car. Sorry for my bad english. Thank you, thank you thank you.

Is it possible for you to check for/read any codes?

** Check battery cables for corrosion
** wiggle wires that go to the spark plugs
