Default XC60 Folding mirror

2013 XC60 folding mirror problem. O/S Mirror worked intermittently so after reading previous posts I stripped it down last weekend to check and see if it was clogged up with gunge but found it was ok, including spring loaded pin. Regreased and put it back together using new starlock washer from ebay and mirror refused to work! Used 9v battery to check motor and found it was ok.
Took mirror covers off this weekend and checked wiring, and lo and behold a broken wire. Soldered wire back together, mirror worked but opposite movement to N/S mirror. Tried all suggestions on VOC but to no avail so swapped motor wires over in plastic connector and is now ok. No idea how this happened.
Have noticed motor sounds to stuggle a little bit compared with N/S so may have to purchase a motor off ebay in case it fails, FC-280SB (part num in pic). Cheaper than replacing a complete unit at garage.
