Or am I mistaken?
I called the service dept. yesterday to check what they charge - £2/litre. Thanks, but I think I'll top it up myself!

Second ever go at it @12K miles and using the same petrol forecourt 10ltr ‘Carlube’ branded gear (bendy funnel attached to the packaging)

Once again (like the first fill @6K miles) a quarter spilled all over road, the rest in the car after approx. half an hour of nursing it in. Utter utter ball-ache!!

Takes a bit, has a gurgle and then fires it all out! So slow to go down the tube when you look in. Eventually ended up with a full tank, but with fluid flowing across the petrol station and all down the car and wheel.

Any better using the HGV pumps?

Cheers.
Hey. Did you find a reasonable solution or did you find out what the problem was?

Funnily enough I had the exact same issue with my v90 2019. Took ages to fill and normally spilt everywhere.

Now have an xc90 and it goes straight in no probs so it would seem that I had an issue with mine as well.

I've just swapped out my D4. most of the time I had no problem adding adblue. One time, it was an absolute pig. I have no idea what was different, but one time it just kept blowing back. No real answer, but I suspect no actual fault, just some combination of the angles and flows.

I had the same problem with my V60 until recently, I'm sure it's the design of the containers, some were slow to fill, some like the original poster's experience were just awful, 15 - 20 minutes of stop start and spillage to get it to fill.

Recently Halfords introduced adblue in bags instead of the normal containers, these are great, fill really quickly without air-locking, and they're easer to dispose of too.
