There is a thread somewhere on this very subject where we researched and researched to understand this. I initially thought as you but I was proved wrong which is why it is so clear in my mind now 😁
Thanks, I don’t plan on keeping my car beyond about year 7 but it is good to know just in case.

Cool TIming Belt

today on my XC90 (2012) with 183K miles on the clock, the main dealer quotes me 1200 GBP to do the timing belts.

they also said the interval was 90K and 10 years as has been previously posted.

My XC90 is a diesel D5 SE LUX AWD

Any recommendations on finding a cheaper solution or do I need to bite the bullet?

Seems a bit vague to me. Have had the car a year and have asked volvo but they are not committed to saying which is correct but are happy to carry out the work....

Can anyone help.

Thanks

90000 miles or 10 years which ever comes first for the 4 cylinder 2.0 VEA engine, surely Volvo know?

Clan. This is an old thread.

The question has already been comprehensively answered.

Your answer is not correct. It is a T8 so the mileage is 144k.
