This is why the Start Stop system is better on a B5 than on a D5 as it removes the delay between pedal and engine start. .
Even on old cars you could move the car by leaving it in gear and cranking the engine.....these mild Hybrids do exactly that with a much better Starter/Generator technology.

Sorry, we are on the same page, I thought you were saying that the car is actually moves with the electric motor only.
