I am helping in the restoration of a 1970 145 Auto.
the cable on the gear position indicator has snapped. So I am after a replacement unit I suspect the indicator and cable comes as one if any one has one spare I would be grateful. it is a VDO unit volvo part number is 679939 and was fitted to both 140 and 164 models. If you can help please ring me on 02392 615081 or e-mail nigel.ayling@ntlworld.com |

You could try some cable from an old radio - the type used to tune in the dials?? the unit is a similar set up after all...
