Default XC60 / June 2017 / Sensus Navigation question

Please can someone advise on the use of the Sensus navigation system.
It's inst
alled in my XC60 (June 2017) and I have updated it with no problem.
If I have a street address for a destination, there's no problem - it works fine.
But if I just know the name of a destination, but have no idea of the nearest town, there appears to be no way to enter the information for a route.
E.g. I can't put in just the name of a pub in a remote area, or the name of a National trust property. Or can I?
Thanks

Is this the last of the mark 1 XC60? Or first of the new ones with the iPad style nav?

I believe you can enter things without the town name

it's the end of the Mark 1 series.
There doesn't seem to be a facility to add a destination name in directly - it always asks for a town first thing.

Are you using the point of interest entry screen?

I'm not aware of the Point of Interest entry screen - I'll have a look for that later today.
When i activate the Nav button then menu my memory says that the next screen is "enter destination". I may be missing something.

Yes I use postcodes if I have them, but sometimes we just have a name of a place and no form of address. It only happens occasionally, but can be frustrating!
Thanks for all help.

Ok thanks - sorted.
I had seen the point of interest option, but somehow assumed that was something to put in along the route already chosen.
Problem solved - thanks very much.
