Default xc70 first time on Vida

Wish I hadn’t now 😢
AQS no communication
Engine cooling fan (FC) signal missing
Suspension position sensor
MAF sensor signal too high
Swirl actuator control
Amplifier installation faulty
Flash switch activated too long (no idea what that is)
Glow relay control-faulty signal, all 5
😂
Swirl flap is a broken arm, ordered.
Height sensor, fastener snapped that holds it to the subframe, looks like fun.
Amp, possibly the addition of a parrot type box by a previous owner.
Car still drives well, no overheating issue and aircon works well, top pipe gets how, just no fan.
I suppose it gives me something to do.

From experience the height sensor has probably pulled away from its mounting because the link arm is seized. When I sorted mine I got a pair of adjustable link rods and just managed to refit the sensor with a pop rivet. If the sensor is actually destroyed you will have the dubious joy of disconnecting a probably stuck wiring connector in a really awkward location!
Ditto on clearing the codes and see what comes back - it must have been years since my car was read when I put it on Vida - after I cleared the frightening number that were flagged I was left with the height sensor and the 4C system faults, neither of which actually seemed to greatly effect the driveability of the car. (until I fixed them - then the change was obvious!)

Best of luck,

John

Thanks guys, a local man put his Vida on it at his house, thanks Ryan, I’ll sort the swirl, height sensor and glow plugs (starts every time but slowly) see where we go from there. 🤞

I'm surprised you didn't get any PDM / DDM codes, they're supposed to be common

mine gets them from time to time but it makes no difference to working order at all

I don't have heated mirrors, mine are usually central locking motor voltage too high / too low / signal missing (orange indicator never red) but as I say they work fine every time. a bit odd but just learnt to ignore it

ok well in that case read it as i wasn't aware that it has heated mirrors lol

anyway thats not the fault that it notes in VIDA

it's a 'torslanda' which I believe is another way of saying 'no options selected' or as I like to think of it 'less to go wrong' lol
