Quick question guys. When I got my C70 the drivers side mat only had one fixing on the carpet to hold the mats in place, ordered a genuine Volvo one which turned up today I was expecting a three on one end to secure it into the carpet but nothing? ?
How are they secured to the carpet please? |

Genuine mats are held in place with two retainers at the side nearest the seat. You should see the holes for them in the mat like mine here:
The part number for the retainer is 8641613. |

That’s the part I’ve got,but how does it attach to the carpet?
Usually they’ve got a plastic thread on the bottom to screw into the carpet? |

There is a bracket with a thread on it that goes up through the carpet from the underside. The retainer screws onto that bracket. It has part number 8641612.
