Default Back again!

Hi all

It’s been a while, but back here again after a recent purchase of a 2000 v40 2.0T, Panama yellow, here on the for sale section.
Moved on and sold my 2010 Xc90 se.
It’s seems quite here, I suppose no news is good news!

Good to see gatos is still here is Antz still here too?

Anyway, no plans at all to modify it other than upgrading the lights.
It’s a no frills model, less to go wrong I suppose? No info centre, DSA button, but does have part leather and heated seats, aircon and the black bezel front lights. It’s a phase 1.5, so mixture of both phases. Although not a fan of the older middle centre console.

Thanks

Welcome back. Still a few people around, but a lot more quiter than usual. Make sure you also join the FB S40, V40 Classic group, where there are still many active S40 V40 owners and it's a lot busier.

Also with regards to the centre console, you could follow Baffler's guide and retrofit a P2 centre console.

Hi Gatos, and thanks. Yes, joined the FB page where there’s a lot more going on
Just harder to reference when looking back for something!

Thanks for the heads up for the centre console.
Parts also seem a bit thinner on the ground than some years ago, but natural as the cars age.
Just getting a todo list of bits and pieces and no doubt will post up help in due course!

An update on things so far, as seems quite here.
Replaced the rubber o ring and gasket on the oil return pipe.
No more leaks. Nice
Next, rear n/s spring needs replacing.

Drove to Leicester on the weekend and previously owning 2 t4s s40 in the past. The 2.0T v40 is no slouch, gets up to 80 and above in quick time on the motorway. Also nice.
