That’s what I’ve just been quoted.
it depends which franchise you go with, some dont charge, some do, and some even give you a Honda jazz (which i didn't have to pay for) so thats the one to find as you can then use it to go to the tidy tip and wickes etc

Apparently wear & tear inspection is part of every Volvo scheduled service and I should have been billed before. Anyway, account credited.

No charge for courtesy car (someone asked)

Very happy with overall service I get, but next time I will obtain a firm price before dropping the car off, in the interest of ‘no surprises’.

I was charged £20 for ‘insurance excess waiver’ on a courtesy car recently. Main (non Volvo) dealer, and the car was filthy inside and out. Whichever employee the car was allotted to wants sacking...

Well, loan cars (they're not "courtesy" cars) cost dealers a lot of money and don't generate a penny of income. If someone lent me a car for free, albeit they charged me for the insurance, I don't think I'd bleat about it. If you'd rather walk I'm sure they'd happily oblige.

Of course, you could avoid it all and book well in advance, thus getting your car through the door at 8am or 1am and theyll do it while you wait. That's what I do, on the basis that it takes more time to drive home and then drive back than it does to simply wait, drink coffee, smoke my pipe and read the complimentary newspaper.
