Default XC90 instead of XC60

So after having 2 XC60 MY22’s in 7 months and the last one in Feb having the same Google issues I have swapped to a XC90 B5P with Sensus. The Google system is awful with too many errors. I admit when it works it’s brilliant and can see in the future it being amazing but not now.

The saving grace here is that the fixes to the issues will be software based, so in time, they will be sorted out. I agree the software should be tested more thoroughly before release, but Volvo will be under a lot of pressure to improve functions and features rapidly to match other manufacturers, so we pay the price with issues and errors. That said, we're not the only ones with software issues. I have a friend with a Nissan Leaf and the software in that equally buggy.

Agree they will be fixed in time but when you drive and all the screens turn black and you lose all sound it’s not really safe. Turn the car off and back on sorts the issue but do you really want to be doing that on the motorway. When did cars turn into 1990’s PC’s?

The garage have been great and broken their backs trying to get sorted.

Think most people must be just putting up with the errors otherwise I expect more stuff being wrote online.

Think Volvo are being the big beta testers before the likes of VW group supposedly join in 23/24

How do you find the difference between the XC60 and XC90(other than size)?

Our Sensus did that, only the once though. It does do other crazy things too, I wish it was just a car without the computer bit.

Sadly, Volvo will continue to be less then bothered in getting these in car software systems to a stable, reliable (and possibly safe) standard until these software bugs start resulting in fatal accidents.

At least my PC and its buggy software is not transporting me up to speeds of 70mph on a busy motorway! And unlike the aerospace industry and its very strict software QA, these cars really are no better than driving around a smart appliance.

A Volvo XC60 fridge freezer anyone!
