Unhappy Sunroof not working

Bought a 2010 C30 1.6d in December with just the sunroof not working. I've tried the UEM reset and the garage (non Volvo garage) have fitted a new sunroof switch but that didn't fix it either.
Is the fuse the same one as the roof light at the front, because that works fine.
Any ideas please

... just answered my own question... sunroof motor looks like it is on fuse 62 but is also mentioned on fuse 73 which also has the roof light. Now waiting for the rain to stop to try fuse 62.

When you press on the switch, is there any sounds from the sunroof motor itself? Or is it silent, with nothing at all happening?

It might be a bad motor or that the gear that operations the opening and closing has sheered or got bound up.

No noise at all, not even a click. Once I've tested that fuse I'll check for sounds again.
Thanks

Sounds like it's a bad motor for sure. Mine was the same, silent as death and was dead itself.

Yep... I think so. Did you manage to fix/replace it yourself? Volvo have quoted over £450 to fix it.

Honestly, no. I never bothered to get mine replaced. I did buy a good, working second hand motor from the breakers yard, but was put off with the amount of effort needed to change it. You need to drop the headliner and take off all the grab handles and sunvisors. Not that big of a job I'd you have a garage or driveway, but I don't, So I just left it.

Thanks for that. I think I'll do the same and leave alone for now.

its worth doing,
the front sun roof drains DO back up on this platform ,without a working sunroof getting in to clean/flush them out to prevent it risks the CEM getting wet and "oh hello electrical/electronic gremlins" that Can be a total nightmare to sort and get rid of

taking the headliner out isnt That hard, just Lots of trim bits to take off first and put back, after
did mine last year, as i needed to replace a saggy roof liner ,

which is also a possible "ah" if the Rear roof drains clog up,,,

Thanks for that advice...
Already had the drains issue and the pond in the driver's footwell so know what you mean and it was such an easy fix to do. I'll wait until it stops raining here in Cornwall (March I think) and will give it another go by taking off the roof liner.

oh no fair you getting "not rain" as early as march, be at least another month or so in the midlands,,,

yes the footwell foot bath is a real "fun" issue, and drying the carpet/foam sound deadening is such a "quick and easy" job ,,
the roof liner, in comparison is "ok"

volvo recommend
"just slide the liner out after removing the windscren"
IF you are careful you Can slide it out the tailgate,
yes it will need careful fiddling to get it out, and a Flex of the front section to clear the rear opening, be mindful "flex" needs to be as little as possible and Avoid causing a Crease getting it out And back in , more so on the back in .

also with the liner out you will/can see the rear drain pipes and flush those nicely
