The 940 is not a particularly heavy car either at 1350kg or whatever they are so soft rubber is on the cards if you are prepared to change more often. I miss the days of goodyear eagle f1's been cheap.

Got the bracket to do a double rear but not fitted yet. Not convinced over doing rear arb helps that much
You can get 30mm lowering springs https://www.skandix.de/en/spare-part...ering-kit/696/

Unless they have poorly designed suspension, I'm sure they can be set up to handle good. Hopefully not admitting defeat at a later date haha

As I said, with what I've done to mine ( entire front end suspension and all bushes with chassis brace and rear shocks, springs etc it's now miles better than it was

Increasing the roll stiffness by adding (or doubling up) anti roll bars is a good way to instantly improve handling.
New standard springs and dampers on mine were the first vast improvement then fitting the rear ARB (Standard on 940s from 1993 i think) improved matters further. Still not in the same league as my other beast which is longer, wider and heavier but corners flat with a lot of grip on the road but a huge improvement over standard. It also means that the ride quality isn't compromised, still a nice, soft, compliant ride until you hit the corners then it stays more upright while gripping better because of the weight transfer which with stiffer ARBs puts more weight onto the outside tyres resulting in more grip.
