Had a look at the advert, but the registration number is indistinct. However, I suspect the vendor is being, shall we say "a tad", optimistic?

A Club member offered a low-mileage Ventora with a shed-load of spare parts, almost enough to build another car, for £15k and got no takers. There's another low-mileage Ventora I know of with an agreed value of £10k but that car has less than 15k on the clock.

In the immortal words of someone or other - If at first you don't succeed, concede defeat.

I have concluded that the backing plates would require major surgery to fit the Valdez, on account of their not having the hole for the ABS sensor, so re-assembled the front with a shiny new hub, from Partsforvolvos, and bolts from Rybrooks local branch.

If anyone is looking for a set of non-ABS front disc backing plates feel free to contact me.

£20 all in; they cost me more than that after the shipping and they're now occupying real estate that I could fill with H0 rolling-stock!
