The unburnt diesel does not only cause white smoke but also contains certain toxins that will likely sting your eyes...this is exactly what i am experiencing...does this mean injectors?
Could also be leaking oil seal in the exhaust turbine house of the turbocharger.

An experienced mechanic will tell you if it’s fuel or oil in one sniff.

So what’s your plan? Are you going to buy another car?

Have you thought about buying a replacement engine for the V50?

Hi neanderthal,

I’m sorry to hear that your car is beyond repair.

I hope you find another car in due course when you’re in a position to do so.

Best wishes.

At any point did you find the car revving very quickly? If not you might have got away with it.

The turbocharger is normally very reliable - hence they're easy to get second hand - usually £100-£170 on ebay.

If you have oil in the intercooler, that confirms the diagnosis.
