Default Volvo 850 T (any) VS C70 T air intake kit compatibility

Hi people,

My 850R currently has BMC CDA carbon kit installed and due to the fact I'm unable to find any papers which prove it's been tested and approved on my car, I'm not even thinking of risking it and showing this to MOT guys. (btw, the car came with this).
I've got an option to buy a used stock C70 turbo intake kit but I'm not sure if it's a direct replacement. Does anybody know? Thank you!

Best, Frane

If the C70 had a throttle cable (not the electronic throttle) then it should be a direct fit. The electronic throttle ones have a larger MAF sensor port on the lid and you can't easily put an earlier sensor into the later housing.

Thank you!

Thing is, I've got the original sensor on the original piece of piping, just need the connecting pipes from there on.

Here's the picture for easier understanding:

So, basically, I need the in-between pieces.

Thanks!

It looks like you are only missing the airbox but I didn't know you had LPG fitted. You've got the pipe which fits into the bottom of the airbox and the MAF sensor housing which fits into the lid of the airbox.
It looks like the original airbox was possibly taken out in order to fit some of the LPG systems but it looks like it would fit - hard to tell 100% from a photo.
The area of concern for me is that you have some LPG stuff bolted right where the MAF sensor wire connects (when the factory airbox is installed).

I didn't even realise that - very thankful for this information! Thanx!
