Sourced Sacer TPS
Hi, probably not many people left who will find this helpful but my 2002 v70 non-turbo with magnetti marelli ETM recently failed and threw up fault codes (OBDII ) indicating issues with the ETM.
Anyway, Actronics (based in Essex, recommended in various places for remanufacture) had said they couldn't get the TPS so I looked myself, struggled to find it on ebay. Shaz at fiesta-tech.co.uk e-mailed back to say he had them in stock, I believe in London UK, if anyone needs the unit quickly. Meanwhile I'd had a reply from Sacer who said they had stock in the EU, this turned out to be the Netherlands and the unit SA300 (and a new cover, SA6006) were shipped to me within a few days, total of around £72 all in. This is up to date as of July 2021. I promptly followed the instructions and fitted it*, though sadly it hasn't resolved my issue - volvo specialist mechanic believes it will either be the other elements of the ETM, or a split hose, etc. and says a whole recon ETM will be around £300 + labour, since I don't want to make any more wrong guesses the car will be off to the garage when they have time for it. I am in Basingstoke UK so if anyone around there sees a light blue/silver v70 crawling to the garage a few weeks from now, that'll be me. *I had the voltage output at 1.375 with a target of 1.378 but chances are soldering it etc. will have taken it further from that value and it's definitely the most time-consuming part of the process if someone has already removed your starter motor support bracket years ago and never refitted it. |
