Looking at the spec, I'd say the engine has a life expectancy of only a few thousand miles. He hasn't mentioned any work on the block. At very high power levels there needs to be welded in liners and some serious block reinforcement work done. Anyone see the video of the 2.3 T-5R engine tuned to 600 BHP for Icelandic vertical slope climbing. The block and liners had some very serious attention to stop the whole thing twisting itself apart.
Second, 9:1 compression. Really????? If it genuinely is putting out 500bhp (and that needs to be proved), the boost that would be needed is going to be somewhere in the 25 to 30 p.s.i. + range - that's not compatible with 9:1 if you have any hope of it lasting. The cylinder pressures would be enormous.
As someone has already said, it's a grenade waiting to go off.
Also, as already said, the drivetrain won't take it. I assume its a four wheel drive and knowing the Haldex units have always been a bit fragile, even in 2004 models, that wouldn't last long, nor would driveshafts or gearbox.
I'm about 175 miles from Bromley as the crow flies, so there's a good chance I'll hear the bang from here.

John

I just noticed it and thought it was a bit extreme I would imagine that it's completely un usable. The clutch must be awful and heavy enough to turn your pelvis to dust. And yes compression ratio and boost figures don't add up and as has already been mentioned the block is very weak on this engine most focus St running any kind of power have had the block modification carried out and non are making that kind of power
