Default D5 lag when accelerating

Hi there,

Trying to figure out what would be the reason for accelerating lag for D5 engine (Volvo s80 2004).

Car usually thinks 1 sec after the pedal is pressed down.

I have seen this issue when I start to accelerate from 0 but less when on a motorway.

Before I dig into https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=132443 I thought it's wise to post some data here.

I have scanned with Vida, does it say anything about the engine at all, any useful info? It was scanned when the engine was idle.

Any help appreciated.

The figures to look out for are all listed in Vida so why not compare it yourself and tell us which figures are not as they should be?

Hi,

I didn't know that. I will investigate Vida further.
