Yep, it's Japanese. I can't get the link posted properly so have a look at swedespeed's forum for S70/V70 1998-2000 vehicles - that's where I came across it.I've also tried attaching the picture - that might work better

Hi all,

Anyone had any success trying to get these parts yet. I will go tommorrow to find out.

I will let you know what they have said. My car is v70 T5 1997 so I will see if they included the wiring. Or see what we need to get.

Roy

Hi everyone,

Went to the dealers, they said the parts are available within 3 to 5 days. As we know this from an earlier post. But they also told me that the wiring might not be there. But they can not be sure of this.

Now we have a suspicion that the c70 comes with the wiring but I am not sure from what year onward. Has anyone taken there mirror off to see if there are any extra pins to plug into?

I am getting my car serviced on wednesday so I will ask the mechanic to have a look. Will post soon. This thread is big now. Sorry it takes so much space.

Dan don't worry have not forgot about asking, will ask Wednesday, a little busy at the mo.

Cheers Roy

Keep volvoing

Ian Birch in his post of 8 September indicated that Volvo had said that these weren't an approved option for S/V/C 70s prior to model year 2000. Which might suggest that cars from 2000 on would have the wiring in place. But can anyone suggest what difference there is between the S/V mirrors and the C ones to account for the substantial price differential?

The mirrors for the c70 are slightly shorter. And that the c70, does not have a window frame. The back plate is different.

The mirror is slightly shorter, that the s/v70. Also the c70 unit has the built in light on it where as the s/v70 one does not. I would no have thought the wiring should be that complicated. It is just a case of going into the same loom of may be the mirror adjustable mirror wiring or the main loom.

Then again I am not an auto electrician, I suppose there has to be a space in the fuse box for it or may be it will come under the adjustable mirrors.

Little busy at the mo or I would have a look. Lets see what else we can come up with. On the other hand anyone got a number for Japan or Sweden.

Cheers Roy
