  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Yep. Some AGM batteries are really expensive... these are the ones that can handle the AGM charge option on most battery chargers though (higher quality batteries in the first place).

However, people make the mistake of charging a cheaper AGM battery using the AGM mode & it simply overcharges the battery, which leads to more problems.

To be honest, I can understand why the mistake is made. People just assume that as they have an AGM battery, stick the charger on AGM mode & away you go... not necessarily the case (can cause damage if this mode is used on a cheaper AGM battery).

As you say, its important to read up on types of batteries & the instructions for your particular charger that you're using carefully.

"Normal" mode will charge an AGM battery, but it'll just take longer.
