Halfords service

Have to report excellent service from Halfords Dumfries. Ordered a set of 3D number plates yesterday at 14.00, advised up to 4 days delivery as made off site. Phone call today at 09.30 and collected less than 24 hrs after ordering. Couldn't fault their staff. Excellent quality plates, aluminium backed, look smart and better still 10% discount with voucher from VOC magazine.

We bought 3 bikes from Halfords a couple of years ago, I told my missus I was going to ask for a discount and she laughed at me, saying it’s not a car boot sale. I’m not usually one to ask for a cheeky discount but I asked the lad if he could do anything with the price and he dropped the total from £910 to £750 and threw in a free service for each bike and water bottles and holders. Needless to say I was happy and the missus was gobsmacked!

As long as you don't mind a cheeky answer, when I bought my last car battery because I said I was recommended by the workshop I normally use the Parts Shop gave me a trade price, when I asked about the 'Free Battery Fitting' in the sign on the counter he told me I'd got it at trade so there was no fitting, and then he lent me the spanner to do it myself

My Dad has a trade card, so he gets a discount. We've used Halfords a lot over the years for fluids, oils, wipers, number plates & bought two cracking sets of sockets that come with a lifetime warranty. I also got a 3t jack & a set of jack stands there, which have been used a lot since purchase.

One or two items in the socket sets did break though, but we just brought the broken items back in & they gave us identical ones free of charge.

I've found the staff really helpful too.
