What’s this for?

After a hot chocolate incident this morning, which flooded the centre pocket and the rear carpets, I noticed this square flap. Ive seen the shaped carpet, but never thought anything of it. I just wondered what it’s for.

Edit: Site won’t let me upload a picture for some reason, but it’s the square flap, well frame really which is on the back of the centre storage box below the 12 volt socket. It seems to tie in with shapes on the carpet on the top of the tunnel. Hope this makes sense. 😊

It is for holding bottles, i.e. lemonade etc. The shaped carpet is for the base of the bottle to sit in.
