Default V60 D2 2014 Drivers door mirror

Afternoon All,
Just registered for some advice please. My drivers door mirror was knocked off the other day and needs replacing..... I'm looking on Ebay to save a few £££...
My mirror was not a powerfold, can I replace it with a powerfold as they are easier to find and will the powerfold option work?
Thanks in anticipation...
R

Along with the mirror you’ll need to provide power and controls. Possibly easier to replace with a like for like mirror. That said anything is possible depends how much you want to spend .
Or was it your intention just to replace the non folding mirror with a folding one without the electrical connections?

Its the whole unit thats broken, not just the lens.... the powerfolds seem to be more common secondhand.
Just wondering if the wiring allows for the folding bit and they just choose which mirror to add depending on the trim.

On my 07 s60 i put a non powerfold on instead of the powerfold one and it worked ok but it just kept putting a fault code up,It worked until i sold it 5 years later.I don't know if it will work nowadays but i can't see why not.
