Default XC90-Hands Free Nokia -my project-anyone done this?

2 weeks ago bought a new '08 XC90 SE -185brake D5, manual, so far so good ! No mobile phone or RTI stuff fitted.

I want to replicate the mobile phone set up in my 2002 V70 D5 (bought new, with dealer fitted hands free kit: swan neck microphone & speaker built into headrest, neat volvo bracket for dash mounted Nokia phone holder, wireless mute etc).

This V70 set up is REALLY simple & effective and I want same in the truck:- get in car, clip phone into holder, it works: with swan neck mike close to your mouth the voice quality (ie background noise etc) is so good people don't even know I'm driving. Pop phone out of holder & get out of car - 5 or 55 mins later, get back in, clip in phone it works again.

I recognise that Bluetooth overcomes the problem of updated phone models but I don't fancy a blue tooth solution:
- I believe leaving blue tooth on 100% time hits phone battery life
- having to turn blue tooth on & off frequently each time I (or non-techy wife) get in & out of car is an irritation
- blue tooth connection to car kit can be unreliable?
- without a car-wired clip in phone holder, phone doesn't get charged, unless you mess about with a cigarette lighter type cable charger.
I WOULD WELCOME SOME FEEDBACKON THESE POINTS.....

So where's the problem?
a) Volvo Handsfree kits seem at least 6 months behind phone releases, so the latest phones aren't supported
b) Latest business type / non fancy Nokia phone- 6300 - (replacing the 3 trusty nokia 6230i's we have in the family) - isn't suported with a dedicated Nokia cradle, only a "universal" holder with no charging capacity.
For the 6300 Nokia only talk about Blue tooth car solutions..
c) Don't think Volvo have released the Swan Neck & Mike headrest solution for the 08 model year cars (see "a" above), and am not sure that the available part numbers for earlier year XC90's have exactly the same trim as my black leather seats.

My project solution so far:
1) I have bought the Volvo dash bracket to mount the phone neatly next to the dials binnacle (actually I've also bought the bracket for LHD cars too, as I'm also going to mount the Ipaq with Sat Nav on the other side of the binnacle, but thats another project)
2) I've bought the Nokia CK7W car kit and dedicated CR56 phone holder for the just disc Nokia 6233 phone (all new, all cheap off ebay)

ADVICE SORT
1) anybody got the swan neck mic/ spk headrest fitted to a recent XC90 with black leather seats? I've only seen them on V70's but there are some 90 part numbers
Also anyone just had the separate mic & speaker fitted - where did the speaker go?
2)Anybody know where the nokia car kit control box is dealer/specialist fitted on an XC90? - on the V70 its under the drivers seat , but no space there on the 90
3) Anyone know if there is a telephone mute input on the single-CD stereo on the 2008 model year XC90 SE (on 07 model year SE's they were 6 CD players - for 2008 you get single CD's but leccy folding doors mirrors & clever side glass)

Any other advice before I start pulling the dash apart?

There is room under the amplifier under the driver's seat .. remove amplifier and see ..
You should be able to mount a speaker in your head restraint , you can still hear it even without the holes i would say ... and the swan neck mic from the older car would fit ..

regarding the mute you would need an AEM ( accessory electronic module ) fitted and earth a pin on that to mute the sound
