Default Clutch pedal return spring

Hi
Just wanted to say that I had a clutch pedal return spring 'snap' on my 2006 Volvo S40. Buying a replacement on ebay was relatively simple.
However fitting the new spring proved to be a real challenge.
You first need to remove the cover panel from under the steering wheel.
Then with much difficulty you can locate a small hole in the plate that holds the clutch pedal to the bulkhead. It is in the middle of the plate at the top, maybe 8mm above the clutch mechanism. The hole itself is about 3mm. Getting the shorter end of the spring into the hole is a serious challenge and requires someone with thin arms and small hands. Once the spring is in place the real challenge is getting the other end to locate on the small 'hook' on the top of the pedal itself. I found that with a length of cord looped on the end of the spring and pulled by a 2nd party gained the tension required while I guided the spring into position with a long flat screwdriver. It took some doing but with perseverance was managed Good luck to anyone else that has the same problem
