Whatever you use as a plug, they are under vacuum not pressure, unless there is a back fire. JB Weld works fine but anything that is resistant to petrol is OK. The covers do look fancy though. I saw a pic of a set that were anodised red along with the Allen screws. DIY stainless ones a lot cheaper. Covers are just that, you still need to block and seal the hole.
