I haven't planned to change the filter either but still need some help with the o-rings, though...

I'm getting my Honda's ZF 9 speed automatic's oil changed next Monday. It also has a 'sealed for life' service interval. However, Honda or ZF must have had some issues that could be delayed by an oil change, because it is a recall and will be done for free. My car is five years old with an extended factory warranty for another year. It has only done 50,000 miles, because I have had the Volvo to do the long distance driving, but some may well have gone round the clock in five years. Regardless, I'm very pleased that they are proactive on a five year old car. It isn't a safety issue, so I'm sure many brands would not doing this.
I wonder whether Volvo will replace my PowerPulse pipe, which has blown, free of charge now that it is out of warranty?
