I just replaced the summer latitude with the winter WR2 (same size, 20) and I can confirm the noise is clearly noticeable. After one month you get used to it though.... I couldn’t say it really bothers me anymore

I have a MY19 XC60 T5 so very smooth and quiet in the cabin compared to a Diesel lump I have Michelin Latitude Sport 3 tyres I believe they are acoustic tyres and they are incredibly quiet on motorways all you hear is the wind noise rushing by.
I have Nokian Winter SUV 3 tyres on my other set of rims they are noisier then the Michelins particularly at low speed but I suspect that is to do with the tread pattern and I can put up with that. Still not loud enough for any cause for concern. Looking forward to getting them on snow.

I've got a 66 plate XC90 (with extra window lamination) and have now got all 4 tyres with the Cross Climates - which for me have been brilliant - snow/rain/sun etc and have done a summer so far and ~ 15,000 miles and down to 5mm tread.
The only issue is on the concrete section of the M25 between the A3 and M23 roughly. I think it's the snow tread but it seems to resonate quite badly at between 65-75mph which is obviously a rather bad speed to hit resonance! Slower is fine, so it's definitely some frequency of tread pattern/tyre size/speed that works against me. If I was doing that journey everyday I'd probably have to change tyre - we do it a few times a year so no major issue. An XC60 tyre circumference may be different so may not be an issue - just worth bearing in mind! Happy tyre noise reduction hunting! Laurence |

I have just changed from the oem p-zeros to Continental all-season and noise levels are exactly the same, that is very low - unless driving on the m25 from Chertsey to Leatherhead (j11 to 9). That section of road is literally the worst for noise...it’s like the engineers hated the local villages.
