Default Volvo C30 Stalling

I drive a C30 1.6 R Design sports 2dr, 58 plate.
Recently while driving its stops, all the dashboard lights come on them go completely off. I am not able to restart it immediately as I usually have to wait between 2 to 5 minutes to restart it.
After taking it to the mechanic, they are not able to find any fault with the vehicle. No error codes appear on the diagnostic. Recently even completed a servicing and today the same problem occurred!
Any thoughts on what I am dealing with and how to solve?
My concern is when I’m driving at 40 miles per hour, this has happened.
Please help!

Not had the issue, but Ive read that loose connections to the fuse box/ECM can cause these intermittent problems. Try the search function to give instructions. Like I say, only advising based on something I've read on here, not personal experience. if is this problem, its diy to sort so worth a try.

I had loads of issues with my 2.0 Petrol C30 stalling, although not as dramatically as yours. I narrowed it down to a fault in the wiring loom to the throttle body.

It sounds like your issue is much more serious, as you seem to loose everything. Have you checked your battery terminals are tight?

I have a 2l petrol.. out of curiosity do you notice any vibration/buzz through pedals at about 2200-2500 revs?. Im fairly certain it's the DMF, having swapped motor mounts (big improvement). Its an Rdesign model with the dynamic chassis and Ive had the wishbones replaced. However I get a knock some where in front susspension that I feel through floor.. pretty sure must be roll bar. You noticed anything like this. its only kn rough roads. Cheers

I'm no expert but I had the exact same problem with a 53 plate fiesta, I had it in to the garage 5 times and never really got to the bottom of it but it did stop about 2 weeks after my last visit.

Is this problem intermittent maybe lasts a few weeks then drives as it should for a while? Check your revs when idling take it up to at least 3000 then check if the car judders on the come down and the rev counter drops to near cut out. Does it happen at any time at any speed without warning or when you are coming to a stop?

I replaced the throttle body in the end after cleaning the original and having no luck I also noticed my coolant/water was a bit low so topped it up although the problem didn't stop straight away it did after a few weeks..... maybe the car just had to have a good run after the throttle body change.

Hope you can get it sorted mate it was a nightmare for me driving with a similar problem..... I had to drive that fiesta using clutch control when slowing down to come to a junction to keep my revs alive so the car wouldn't cut out, very annoying and probably not the safest way to drive!
