V50 General : - Oil change 1.8 petrol engine

Hi Wise ones,
I am thinking of servicing my 2008 V50 myself. I has done 139,000 miles so wondering if anyone had any ideas on the best oil to use (to hopefully keep it going for another 100k or so?) I was thinking of something like Castrol Edge?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
p.s. I live in Wales - so don't experience extremes of weather (just lots of rain

Hello,

Recommended oil grade is WSS-M2C913-B, viscosity SAE 5W-30. Capacity - 4.3 litres. I guess brand choice is up to you. I'm running Shell, as it is on sale every other week in ECP and comes in 5l container.
