V70 P2 pollen filter leaking
2004 54 v70 water ingress into the passenger footwell, water only comes in when driving and when its raining.
Recirculating and having aircon switched off has no impact. It has climate control and the two hevac drains are clear, it has no sunroof, the water comes in through the lower black service panel for the pollen filter. I have removed the scuttle and checked the usual no leaves and no debris the scuttle is fitting well. the air intake for the heater box is open should there be a cover or grille over this? It seems as if the unit floods the seal is intact but has a blanked off drain port is this normal for it to be blanked as the parts guy in my local Volvo garage was under the impression this has a drain. On my unit the two drains are attached to the base of the condenser and the black unit under the heater fan assy. Has anyone had this issue, and how was it sorted? Thanks guys |

This is one situation where a picture would be worth 1,000 words.
Is the "black unit under the heater fan assembly" the housing where the cabin air filter goes? Is the "blanked off drain port" part of the cover you remove to replace the cabin air filter? Get a helper. With the scuttle removed try pouring water into it to see if the seal between air handling parts and the body of the car is intact. |
