Breaking Complete 1991 240 SE estate 2.0l injection
Breaking a complete 1991 Volvo 240 SE Estate
has the B200 injection engine fitted and 5 speed manual box overall it's in pretty good shape apart from the rear of the car from the rear arches back is rotten, including the tailgate and the exhaust. Car runs and drives fine. Only things that I am keeping, have already gone or are broken- dashboard nearside rear light front indicators headlights fuel pump fuel pressure reg armrest / centre console door pockets gear knob bootlid trim panel damp and broken complete front panel / slam panel exhaust rest off the car is there including an immaculate dark blue cloth interior. I don't mind selling panels off it including sections that would need cutting, if you need something it's worth an ask most parts can be posted apart from the bonnet as I can't find a courier to touch them. Engine can be palleted for around £50 and even stripped doors can be posted individually. Paypal only if items are to be posted If you prefer to collect parts that is no problem what so ever. cash on collection only though. Collection postcode is SA19 and I am not far fro Llandovery in South Wales / Brecon Beacons Thanks. |

Merry Yule,
anyone know if the speedo sender cable from the diff is the same in this car as my 1993 940? I'd like the cable from where it plugs into the diff to where it joins inside the (on my 940) left cubby under the load bay... if it's cheap

Not sure if it's the same or not to be honest. if you can confirm with someone else the part is still here as not much has gone off the car yet |

I'm sorry to hear that you need to break the car.
I think it must be a B200F. LH 2.4. If so and if the engine is in true good going order, I'm interested in some LH 2.4 bits to be spares for my SE please.
I'm trying to remember. What is the other sensor unit that screws in to the block near to the temperature sensor sender unit? . |

it's not so bad, I bought the car knowing it had rust issues and planned on either repairing it if not too bad or worst case scenario, breaking for spares to get parts for my other 240 project and make my cash back... turns out the back end is too rotten to justify saving it. Anyway I'm used to carb versions so I have no idea exactly what injection system it runs, is there an easy way to find out and identify it has the correct parts you are after? if it is then all those parts will be there as it's not been touched yet |

Thanks.
So far as I know, a 2.0 SE car will be a B200F engne and if it is a B200F it will be LH 2.4. I'm sure, with perhaps advice from "the resident knowledgebles", we can work out which bit is which to remove from the car. I think I do know enough to work that out with you but expert help might be needed. But. I have no idea how much to offer you. |
