Default V60 Door/ B Pillar Creaks - Warranty?

Well I bought a 67 plate R-Design in Horsham the other week and overall I love it. Lovely car and in the D4 Auto just bags of power and economical enough. Plenty of toys and for a family estate it is still pretty fun to drive.

The dealership up to the sale have been fantastic however now I've bought it I've been frustrated at the very poor comms from the service dept. 3 times calling leaving messages and an e-mail prompted no reply over 7 days and now I've eventually got hold of someone it is booked in for what I'm assuming being warranty work although he sounded a bit skeptical at the complaint of creaking doors... As an aside the aircon seems fairly weak so that is to get a look at too.

I'm hopeful it shouldn't be an issue but incase it is, should this be covered? It is still under a year old, Volvo Selekt and going over any sort of uneven road surface there is a fairly consistent creaking from the pax front door area. Parked up with the doors open if you touch around the door cards on both front doors they creak very loudly.

Ps, the car had the paintwork Guard whatever it is treatment by the dealer. I've seen online elsewhere these can often cause these symptoms if the product contacts the seals etc?

Reading about online this seems to be a fairly common issue on the V60.

So I think I'm getting somewhere with this... as I opened the front pax door I could clearly hear the noise. So a bit of prodding about and the noise is head height on the door while sitting.

I've attached a picture of the offending piece. Pressing that makes a loud audible creak and the rubber looks whitened and not the same texture as the other doors.

Car is booked end of October, hopefully under warranty.

Is that a picture of your actual car?

If so, could it be related to the non-standard plastic wind deflectors?

No no, that is a stock picture online. It is raining outside and I'm lazy.
